Commonwealth of Aurelia
Brief Description
Aurelia is an alliance of provinces under one banner. It’s controlled by a council of lords who control the provinces. Every 10 years a high Lord is elected by the council who is essentially the leader of the kingdom and holds the deciding vote if a decision cannot be made.
Aurelia is a multiracial kingdom, and comprises of men, elves, hobbits and dwarves. It is renowned a nation that works together regardless of race. This is both its strength and its weakness as sometimes reaching a complete consensus can be impossible.
The boglands to the east used to be a part of Aurelia but were able to withstand the Kalandrian invasions. They aided Aurelia as much as they could but fell back to the swamplands when losses were too great.
Aurelia rebelled along with the other puppeted kingdoms and is still in an official state of war with Kalandria.

Hemlands
Brief History
During the first age the Meoalfr led by Mallosien (Daughter of the Golden Flower) inhabited the Hemlands. In this time the region was know as Malen glad (Yellow Forest) due to the golden leaved tree's covering the area. The Main settlement was the City of Othrond -o galad which translates to the City of Light in the common tongue. The elves who inhabited these lands are known for their golden skin and prowess with light/healing magic which is believed to be attributed to the sunlight that filters through the golden leaves.
They flourished as a society and built the first Elven ships for fishing the bountiful southern waters but never ventured out of sight of the Malen coast.
During the second age the Mallos Elves marched north with their Kin to face the Orc Horde. They had a huge part in the war as healers but were ultimately decimated as the Horde broke through the ranks and into the camps of wounded soldiers. During the Orc invasion and the elf civil war, Môrdes sunk the City of Othrond -o galad into the ground. After both of these the Mallos elves we're near extinct and migrated to {Insert Elven Woods Name} to rebuild with their Kin.
As the Nords migrated south, they began to build a settlement on what is now the city of Hemburg which marked the southern most border with the Elves. Hemburg itself means Border Town. Over time the yellow forest was cut down, and the Hillfort that now stands was built up.
Hemburg and the Hemlands were occupied by the Kalandrian Empire early in the third age. Rebels were snuck into the city via tunnels and transported around in barrels before finally taking back the City on Kalans day.

Hemburg
Hemburg is the home of the horselords and is a hillfort in the central Hemlands. The people are simple farmers and trade their crops with there neighbours for necessities. The area has been almost completely deforested due to the construction of the hillfort. However this has given way to plentiful fields that are used for growing wheat and other crops.
