
Warriors Guild
The guild is present across most of Yarowyn and provides a place of training in weaponry, study of tactics and the undertaking of contracts. Contracts can be raised by any citizen however they must not conflict with the laws of or customs of the Kingdom they are raised in or the kingdom where the contract is to be undertaken. An example of this would be a contract to capture a beast in another kingdom, in the kingdom that the contract was raised it isn't illegal, however capturing of slaying the beast in the kingdom that it resides is illegal. In this case the contract can not be accepted by the guild. This is in place to ensure that the guild does not cause diplomatic tension.
Typical contracts that the guild undertakes are but not limited to:
- Bodyguard/Security protection for citizens, events and in most cases to protect a trade caravan.
- Guard duty, in the event that the kingdom requires additional guards to bolster it's forces.
- Slaying/Capture of beasts, usually in collaboration with the hunters guild.
- Slaying of Bandits, contracts for these can only be raised by representative of the kingdom/ealdorman and are usually undertaken along side soldiers/guards.
- War-games, in preparation for War the guild is usually called upon to attack soldiers encampments for training.
Each guild hall has a guild master. The guild master is responsible for the running of the hall, finances, giving out contracts and the acceptance of new members and ranks.
The Grand Master is responsible for the appointment of all guild masters.
History:
The warriors guild was brought over by the Nords during the second age from Odinnheim.
