Religion Ideas:

My idea for an official human religion. Name: The Five-Sided Shield That Protects The Realms of Men (Often shortened to The Divine Sheild) Core Beliefs: Men are weak and powerless beyond thier own realm and must be graced with the protection from the five gods. Gods: 1. Zesos - The Master Father (Oversaw the creation of the universe by his sons. Prayed to by all of his followers.) 2. Ottok - The Builder (Forged the earth with the heat of the sun. Prayed to by the working peasantry and city architects.) 3. Neron - The Thinker (Graced man with the gift of intelligence. Prayed to by scholars in

times of doubt.) 4. Dakork - The Rage (Cursed man with the nature of violence and war. Prayed to by warriors and generals. Adopted by the Orcs, who believe him to be the only god and all others false.) 5. Potyk - The Brother (Blessed humanity with a gift of goodness and brotherhood to balance out the influence of Dakork. Prayed to by all.)

Lore: Birth of the First Gods: When the known universe(by Divine standards) was still a speck in the endless Abyss. But in the darkness a light was born, a light that shone so bright it split the Abyss into two- The Light (Heavens), The Darkness (Hell) and the In-Between(Yarrowyn). This light was Arthbar, the first of the Gods and God of Law and Order, he was all the that was good. But every light casts a shadow, and in his birth the Abyss also formed a Brother of his, Kavshabinh the Darkness and the Greatest enemy of the Gods. With the birth of his Brother Arthbar decided to have others to aid in the fight, hence out of the Abyss he breathed to life his Wife Ninnanar, goddess of protection, family and chivalry. And with his Wife he had three children Nithlark (goddess of art, opportunity, doors and warden of all portals between realms) Gorra (goddess of nature, the Seasons, animals and Mother of the Earth) and Dalrikn (God of Death, poison, famine, plague and Lord of the Underworlds. But despite this he believed in the order of nature and did not forcefully kill, and was one of the more forgiving Gods). After seeing his Brother and his family, Kavshabinh formed twelve malicious Dark Gods out of the Abyss to aid him Trianna, Horax, Stabirn, Berturix, De' Slavahk, Kirlikx, Vixtoril, Tormakahl, Arloth, Thitna, Martin and Trilorgmahx. Lust, greed, murder, betrayal, dis Honour, disrespect, violence, theft ,arrogance , tyranny, lies and sloth respectively. To aid in her fathers fight, Gorra formed four Gods that would also help her spread the four Seasons, they were Strith(goddess of love, beauty, fertility and bringer of spring), Margil( god of magic and bringer of fall) and the twins Vlescon(God of joy, health, healing, medicine, happiness, archery, light, wealth and bringer of summer. He was also the lord of the sun) and Aretiah(Godwss of hunting, wild, youth and bringer of winter. She was also Lady of the moon.) Dalrikn also helped his Father, by forming his Wife Girmathri(Godess of rage, anger, hatred and childbirth) and with her having two sons, Litsprick( god of mischief, luck and talent) and Gildorraeh ( God of war pestilence, war, pestilence and bloodshed). Nithlark fell in love with Margil married him and had Thoskoloth(God of intellect and wisdom). These thirteen would later be worshipped as the Thirteen Gods by the majority of Yarrowyn. Arthbar saw that he and his Brother would soon be at war and he and the other twelve gods built up the Heavens, and with the celestial light made the angels to be the servants of the gods and help them in the fight. Kavshabinh eager to fight his Brother, also built up Hell with the Dark Gods and with the demonic lava created the demons. After a hundred Millenia of preparation, the war finally broke out and would later be called The War of the Brothers. Arthbar and the other gods eventually won and banished Kavshabinh and his Dark Gods to Hell, such that they could only use their powers at a very weakened form. To show their dominance, Arthbar and the Gods built up Yarrowyn forming it to the wondrous world it is today and populating it with the animals and plants. This gave way for history to look at

a very different story, the story of the races of Yarrowyn particularly the children of the respective Gods, and most importantly Arthbar's personal

creation humans.
